Heat Networks Roundtable

Heat networks in commercial real estate: Preparing for 2027

Heat networks are becoming a key component of low‑carbon commercial buildings, from mixed‑use developments to large office campuses and retail destinations. With the 26 January 2027 Heat Network (Metering and Billing) Regulations deadline approaching, a gap remains between regulatory requirements and market readiness, with many commercial real estate stakeholders only beginning to understand the full implications of the new regime.

This closed‑door discussion brings together peers across asset, property and facilities management, alongside landlord, investor and technical teams, to explore how the evolving regulatory landscape will reshape:

  • Cost recovery models – service charge structures, allocation and transparency
  • Compliance obligations – what landlords must evidence and when
  • Risk exposure – financial, operational and reputational
  • Tenant relationships – communication, fairness and trust
Thursday 17 September, 3:30–4:45pm

Cost Avoidance & Decarbonisation Roundtable

Delivering business value through cost avoidance, decarbonisation, and supply chain resilience

Rising energy costs, supply chain disruption and tightening regulation are putting pressure on organisations to deliver immediate financial performance while accelerating decarbonisation. Strengthening energy resilience is one of the fastest ways to cut Scope 3 emissions at scale, improve cost control and boost operational stability.

Join this cross-sector roundtable to explore how aligning sustainability goals with energy cost avoidance can unlock real business value. We will discuss how to:

  • Optimise supplier energy use – improve resilience and cost control
  • Scale renewable access – enable supplier participation in PPAs
  • Accelerate delivery – deploy high‑impact projects at pace
  • Unlock tech and funding – connect suppliers to proven solutions
  • Embed energy in decisions – align procurement, ops and sustainability
  • Strengthen compliance – meet reporting needs and boost resilience
Thursday 17 September, 5:00–9:00pm
